The self-titled debut album Eska hosts production credits from cult British electronic artist Matthew Herbert (known for remixing Björk, R.E.M. and Yoko Ono), Louis ‘slipperz‘ Hackett and Dave Okumu of The Invisible (previous winners of iTunes ‘Album of the Year’ in the UK.)
In 2013 she released her debut solo project titled Gatekeeper EP on her own Earthling Recordings label, which featured five original tracks and was co-produced by acclaimed producers Matthew Herbert and David Okumu.
The EP attracted worldwide critical acclaim, including tastemaker Gilles Peterson, who called Eska “one of the most important singers in the UK right now”, and Jamie Cullum, who declared the EP’s title song to be “an unbelievable track that will be hard to beat in 2013”.

In April 2015 Eska released her eponymous debut album scoring a 4* in Q magazine & Hi Fi Choice, 8/10 in Uncut, Music Week tastemaker, Sunday Times Breaking Act.
Also voted the Tune Of The Month in Mix Mag, a two-page spread in Echoes and described as “empowering to listen to and the whole album is a wonderfully emotive affair” by Time Out.
This recognition has also been reflected on the airwaves with multiple plays on BBC 6 Music, Radio 2, XFM & NTS Radio.
